The Palm Bay-Melbourne-Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA) population 1/ increased from 230,006 in 1970 to 543,376 in 2010. That was an increase of 136.2 percent.
The foreign-born (FB) population increased from 6,429 in 1970 to 47,182 in 2010. That was an increase of 601.4 percent. The foreign-born share changed from 2.8 percent to 8.7 percent.
The share of the overall population that was native-born (NB) increased by 121.9 percent.

The second chart shows the same data but with an adjustment to reflect births to immigrants shifted to NIM. In it, NDM remained the main factor adding population in all periods.
